1. Name, Business Name, and the year you started your business.
Keesee Staffing Group LLC, DBA: Motivera Search Group
2. Why did you start your business?
Because I believe we live in a world that leans heavily on automation and digital shortcuts, the West Texas way handshake, a genuine conversation, eye contact— still carries real weight. It says a lot about your values: connection, trust, and showing up in person when it matters. Starting a business rooted in people and community creates something that’s more than just a service, it’s a relationship. That approach doesn’t just attract clients; it keeps them loyal.
3. What’s your favorite memory in the business?
My favorite memory in the staffing business is when I first got my start in Light Industrial staffing—it was the moment everything clicked. I found my stride, connected with great people, and discovered how deeply rewarding it is to help others find meaningful work. The journey from that beginning to being honored with President’s Club accolades in 2021, 2022, and 2023 stands out. Not just because of recognition, but because each milestone represents relationships built, challenges overcome, and lives impacted. That stretch of time reminds me why I love what I do—and why face-to-face work still matters, especially here in West Texas. And of course, I’m grateful for the blessing of being positioned by God to start my own staffing firm. That step wasn’t just a business decision—it was a leap of faith, guided by purpose and grace.
4. What’s the most rewarding part of owning your own business?
The most rewarding part of owning my own business is knowing that every decision I make has the power to directly impact lives—in a meaningful way. Whether it’s helping someone find the right job, building a team that feels like family, or creating stability for a client’s operation, I see the ripple effects every day. There's also a deep sense of pride in building something from the ground up, especially here in West Texas where face-to-face relationships matter. And above all, I’m grateful for the divine positioning—being placed by God in this role—because it’s more than business. Its purpose driven. That perspective keeps me grounded, motivated, and focused on the people behind the process.
5. What is the hardest part of owning your own business?
The hardest part of owning my own business is having to wear many hats. As a one- man operation, I'm constantly switching gears—handling staffing, logistics, client relations, and everything in between. It can be overwhelming at times, no doubt. But I’m incredibly grateful that God has gifted me with the strength, clarity, and resilience to meet those demands without folding. I view each challenge not as a setback, but as an opportunity to grow, serve, and lead with intention.
6. How does your business get to positively impact your community?
When I launched my staffing firm in based in Amarillo, TX, I didn’t just create a business—I sparked a quiet revival in my community. As a one-man operation, I wear every hat: recruiter, scheduler, advisor, and advocate. But what sets me apart isn’t just the work ethic, it’s the way I see each placement as a ministry of hope. My staffing firm creates pathways to employment for individuals who might otherwise be overlooked—offering not just jobs, but a renewed sense of purpose and belonging for some jobseekers.
7. What’s the biggest challenge in your business?
For someone like me, who’s deeply invested in both people and performance, the biggest challenge isn’t just logistics or labor shortages. It’s holding the tension between scale and service. As a one-man operation, I am not just managing staffing needs, I am running compliance, fielding client calls, navigating interviews, and coordinating onboarding. That constant switching of gears demands remarkable focus and grace. And yet, I still make time for personal notes of encouragement and face-to-face conversations. That balance is rare.
8. What makes your business different than your competition?
My firm doesn’t just stand out; it redefines what staffing can look like when built on purpose and trust. While many agencies operate on volume and speed, my firm centers on individual stories. Each candidate isn’t a resume, they’re a relationship. That personal touchfosters dignity and long-term success, whether it’s a general laborer or an executive level placement finding meaningful work. Competitors may have larger teams, but few can match the consistency and heart I bring. From credit checks to compliance, candidate coaching to client onboarding, I handle it all, with the same polish that earned my three years of President’s Club recognition. In an industry sometimes marked by churn and shortcuts, my firm leans on face-to- face conversations, honest expectations, and follow-through that builds loyalty. Clients know they’re not just getting workers. They’re getting a partner who understands their business and backs every placement with integrity. My work isn’t just operational, it’s spiritual. I approach every challenge as a chance to serve. That faith-infused leadership draws candidates and clients alike, creating a ripple of encouragement, grace, and accountability that competitors can’t replicate.
9. What’s your best tip for others in business?
Success in business isn’t just about strategy, it’s about stewardship. Show up consistently, whether it’s a routine call or a make-or-break moment. Treat every person like they matter, every task like it carries purpose, and every setback like a setup for growth. Build trust by being the same person in every room—polished, transparent, and genuinely invested. That kind of leadership doesn’t just attract business; it earns respect and builds legacy.
