Working for or with the government is a process, not an event. You have to have certain registrations, be enrolled on specific websites and know how the government looks at you and what you do. If you are a small business, your chances of being able to bid government work increases dramatically. If you are a woman owned business, or a minority owned business, there are projects that are set aside strictly for businesses like yours. If you are a veteran owned business, then you are in the driver’s seat when it comes to working for certain agencies in the government. However, none of that counts if you do not know and follow the process.
Introduction to Working with the Government covers the basics of registration with both the federal and state government agencies. Completing the registrations is the first step to becoming a successful bidder and supplier to the government.
Topics covered—
SAM—System for Award Management
CMBL—Centralized Master Bidders List
WOSB—Woman Owned Small Business
8(a)—Minority Owned Small Business
HUB—Historically Underutilized Business
VOSB—Veteran Owned Small Business
SDVOSB—Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business
Seating is limited to 12 attendees.
