Success Stories

David & Katrina Kimble

David and Katrina Kimble are the owners of Country Harmony Plastics Inc., a custom plastics molding company near Canyon.  They started their business manufacturing plastic horse feeders and have since moved on to include the plastic shell for carpet blowers, plastics floats and plastic steer heads used to practice roping skills.  In 2006, the SBDC helped the Kimbles prepare their business presentation for the judges of the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation's Enterprize Challenge and won.  This past week, they received the 2007 Top Small Business Award from the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce.

Quote of the Month

Many of the most successful men I have known have never grown up.  They have retained bubbling-over boyishness.  They have relished wit, they have indulged in humor.  They have not allowed "dignity" to depress them into moroseness.  Youthfulness of spirit is the twin brother of optimism, and optimism is the stuff of which American business success is fashioned.  Resist growing up!
