Kelly Miller got an agreement from Wal-Mart to operate a Subway in the Canyon store.  He came to the SBDC to get assistance with the preparation of a business plan, financial projections, and a review of the franchise offering.  Based on the materials produced, Kelly got an SBA guaranteed loan to establish his operation.

On May 22 - 24, 2006, two hundred of Texas' best SBDC personnel will converge in Lubbock to network, learn, and share knowledge. Would you like to be a speaker at this conference or do you know someone who would?

Spots are open for experts to deliver 90 minute training sessions. Businesses Needed

Student Projects for Business Management

Dr. Terry Pearson teaches small business management at West Texas A&M University and is currently looking for four to six businesses that would like to have a strategic audit or need to accomplish a special project.  The audit or project will serve as real-world, on-site class work for a team of undergraduate students during the spring semester.

He is also looking for 2 businesses who would like to have a feasibility study done by graduate students.
